Necessity is the mother of invention!
In 2022, when our wheeled skid steer was retired we decided to purchase our first tracked skid steer. We quickly realized driving a skid steer in snowy McCall, Idaho is impossible. James searched and searched but couldn’t find any solution on the market that fit our needs.
After one fateful, sleepless night (thanks to young children) a lightbulb came on in James’s head.
James went into his shop and designed a set of chains for our new tracked machine. After many prototypes and trials, James perfected a set of Chains For Tracks. Our Chains For Tracks have been popular locally so we decided to sell them so others could have a more capable machine in any climate.
Chains for Tracks, Inc. was founded by James Hamblin and his family to bring chain options to frustrated tracked machine operators everywhere.
